Grim Sunday
With Halloween Horror looming, I wanted to get in the mood for the celebration.
This series, shot on an abandoned work site, was an attempt of merging two rather adverse topics, horror and erotic. Three minutes in it started to rain, which doubtless added to the atmosphere but unfortunately didn’t make the work any easier.
With most initial ideas left undone, I found myself back home again in front of a set of grossly underexposed images and tried to save what I could.
I can’t deny that I like the feeling of the result.
Only thing is, I can’t seem to get her to tell me what she saw in there that made her look the way she did. Ever since she’s on the floor, swinging to and fro apathetically, babbling ominously.

Der kleine Bär
Meine Oma hat ein Leben lang gekämpft. Gegen ihren Mann, gegen die Trauer und den Verlust eines Kindes, für das Leben eines anderen Kindes. Jetzt gegen das Alter. Über die Jahre hat sie sich einen dickes Fell zugelegt, der sie gegen Verletzungen und Enttäuschungen schützen soll – manchmal erschrecke ich, wenn sie mal wieder die "zu lauten Gören" im Hof anschnautz – ihre Stärke schlägt dann gelegentlich ins Granteln um. Ich frage mich, wie ich sie sehen würde, wenn ich nicht ihr großes Zartheit, ihr Leben und ihre Herzlichkeit kennen würde.
Gegensätze
Am 30.09. traf ich Valea in meinem Studio. Sie ist ein Mensch mit Gegensätzen. Sie ist zierlich und stark, weich und hart, dunkel und hell zugleich. Wir belichteten insgesamt 3 120er Filme und ich bin mir sicher, wir werden uns wiedersehen.
Me for NuJolie 2014
Ein erstes, zurückhaltendes Set mit Sven von NuJolie und mir 2014 in einem stilvollen, ländlichen Rittergut.
Es werden nach und nach die weiteren 5 Sets folgen. Sie fanden alle an einem Wochenende dort statt.
Ich mag den verträumten und lieblichen Stil sehr.
Introspection
The topic "consciousness" became extremely fashionable. And in the majority of cases, it is rudely abused by psychologists and other representatives of an ordinary shamanism. We are forced to accept and live with the idea of an imaginary phenomenon, named self-reflection. And the absolute majority of us truly believe in recognition of something named "I". Impasse! That is where introspection leads to. I’m deeply convinced that we are – the reconstructions by other people, intellectual models of the nonexistent subjects. The series consists of 9 images. "Impasse", "Contradictive Thoughts", "Sexual Agent", "Default Mode Network", "Reptilian Complex", "Fear As A Source", "Interspecific Aggression", "Values", and "Cover".

Tiefenrauschen
Hinter vielen meiner Bilder steht oft etwas das ich mit rationalem Verstand und klaren Worten kaum beschreiben kann.
Ich fasse das gerne unter dem Begriff "Tiefenrauschen" zusammen. Es ist etwas unterbewußt irrationales. Etwas das aus der Tiefe rauscht und mich im Hintergrund beim fotografieren immer zu subtil begleitet.
"Tiefenrauschen" ist auch der Arbeitstitel für meinen ersten geplanten Bildband und eine kommende Ausstellungsserie.
