Sound of silence – waiting alone. lonely or alone – my photoproject: “Sound of silence”. Are the people lonely or only alone? Who knows ? The viewer will not recognize the truth. How often do we pass many of these people and do not know what they feel.
My photoproject: inspired by the song from Simon and Garfunkel.

Shooting film is not only a hipster sport. I enjoy analog photography because of the process and the different look. Different but not better than digital images. Not too sharp, not too perfect and not to many details. But maybe with a bit soul. Or am I wrong? Just wite me.
The test shooting with Alicia was done on film in an old factory in Frankfurt, which is now a place for alternative culture. The images were taken with an analog Hasselblad camera. See the full series here in the gallery: https://thomasberlin.net/alicia
Mit Selina im Studio, ausnahmsweise habe ich einmal mit hartem Kunstlicht gearbeitet. Normalerweise bevorzuge ich available light.

Melissa und Tuan – Coupleshooting
Melissa, ein vielseitiges und kreatives Model tritt diesmal nicht alleine vor die Kamera. Sie wie auch Tuan lassen sensuale Momente entstehen. Auf verschiedenen Stationen in den Räumen des Fotostudios DIE Fotolounge stellen sie sich der Kamera. Dem Fotografen erleichtern beide die Arbeit durch engagiertes Gestalten der Sets und sie bringen immer neue Ideen ein.
Da die Kapazität der Ausstellung begrenzt ist, findet nur ein kleiner Teil davon in die Ausstellung. Doch einige Schätze liegen noch bereit, gehoben zu werden. Aus einem gelungenen Shooting und einem schönen gemeinsamen Tag sind hier eine handvoll Eindrücke zu sehen.
*Die Kunstbegeisterten der Region freuten sich auf die WOGA (Wuppertaler Offene Galerien und Ateliers), die jedoch 2020 dem Lockdown zum Opfer fiel. Auch das Atelierhaus Scheffelstraße hatte sich mit einer Vielzahl von Künstlern bereit gemacht und DIE Fotolounge war selbstverständlich einbezogen. Einen Abschnitt bildete die Teilausstellung "Couple".
I wrote a few times about how much I love the movie-ish type of photos. Some time ago, I shot with the Russian model Katrina. Unintentionally, the images very soon became very intense.

On a very hot August day, we had the idea to take a few pictures with the ice cream during the break. It’s not my usual style, but I love to try something new when taking pictures.
