the way she moves
In this second shooting with Irina I tried to work in an other way as I usually do. Usually I let the Model do what she likes to do, but when I find a pose or look that I like, I tell her to hold it. I then take several pictures in different angles and cuts. Sometimes I also tell the model to change the pose a little bit or look in a different direction.
For this shooting I ordered the model to act just as she likes or feels. I won’t tell her to hold or change anything. I just make pictures with her while she acts.
The day we had our shooting was a Gray and rainy December day. I booked a big location, where the chance to have some daylight was given. But it was not much light. With the low light and my posing advice to Irina I had to deal with a lot of pictures wich are out of focus or blurred by move.Anyway, I decided to work like this and we did it, and it felt good. I set my camera to take black and white pictures in a customised setting and also save the RAW files.
After this shooting I decided to first review the JPG files from the camera. And I liked them very much, there mostly was no editing necessary, unless removing some spots.
So here are some results of this shooting.
Tanz im Schlamm
Tanz ist ihr Leben, Bewegung, Ausdruck.
Unterwegs ist sie im Hip-Hop. Darin verbinden sich nicht nur Elemente aus Funk, Soul und Rap. Lina fasst all dies in ihrer Person zusammen und fesselt den Betrachter mit ihrem Tanz.
Zu diesem Shooting gehen wir in den Grafenberger Wald in Düsseldorf. Eine schlammige Suhle lockt. Wo sich sonst Wildschweine aalen, macht sie sich bereit zur Vorstellung. Leicht ist es nicht, zu einem begrasten Baumstumpf im morastigen Sumpf zu gelangen. Doch dann haucht sie der tristen Natur neues Leben ein. Sie bewegt sich langsam, flüssig, dann im Stakkato und zum Schluss legt sie sich in den morschen Grund.
Wieder erlebe ich mit ihr einen Tag, ein Shooting, das mitreißt und im Sinn haften bleibt.

Die Schlange
Geht sie so unbefangen mit Schlangen um, weil sie aus Brasilien kommt?
Schließlich gibt es dort Tiere in freier Wildbahn, die wir in Europa in der Freiheit nicht finden.
Zärtlich berührt sie die Schlangen, kommunizert mit Blicken und Händen, nimmt sie so an, dass sich diese wohl fühlen.
Mal tiefe Entspannung, mal Lachen. Tanny mag Tiere, mag Schlangen, mag auch Shootings. Auf ihrer Haut will sie sie spüren, die Schlangen. Ihr ist anzumerken, dass sie den Moment genießt, nur sie und die Schlangen auf ihrer Haut.

Shooting mit Vanessa W. in einem Hotelzimmer. Schlichtes Interieur mit intensivem und ausdrucksstarkem Posing bei Fensterlicht als Hauptlicht.
Ich arbeite gerne mit Models wie Vanessa zusammen, die deutlich über ihr Standardposing hinausgehen, wenn man gemeinsam mit ihnen Ideen entwickelt und sie den Raum bekommen, sich frei auszudrücken.
