Smoking is unhealthy, obviously. No need to pretend otherwise. But photographically? Damn, it can look incredible. A cigarette instantly changes the mood of a portrait: the gaze becomes sharper, the pose more casual, the moment a little forbidden, tired, cool, or mysterious. And then there is the smoke itself: curling through the light, veiling faces, swallowing contours, turning a simple portrait into a small film scene. This collection shows smoking models caught between coolness, melancholy, and attitude. Not as an advertisement for smoking, but as a nod to the visual power of haze: unhealthy, unreasonable, a little wicked, and sometimes, in front of the camera, simply irresistible.
