I worked with Cole and Elyse from Bratcraft Arts Bodypainting to come up with this awesome look with model, Xyrra. We shot this at Photo Bang Bang using a backdrop, camo netting and some props from around the studio. The Fire Hydrant has never been particularly useful until this shoot!
I worked with traveling model, Brittany Bochart to create these images on location in the middle of the Nevada wastelands. The site of a defunct concrete factory, mysterious structures rise from the dust. Damaged by fire, explosion gunshots and graffiti, the place exudes a tranquil desolation that inspired our session.
Ich habe eine neue (alte) analoge Kamera: Eine Nikon FM2. Ich war von dem analogen Look, den man bei STRKNG und Instagram sehen kann so begeistert, dass ich auch analog fotografieren wollte.

Lockdown in Ireland has included the restriction of not travel >5 kilometres unless you have some essential reason for travel.My time in working Ireland presents no shortage of photographic opportunities but behaving with the lockdown and working in that 5km is a challenge. Towns in Ireland have a good supply of old buildings, door and windows, wall that show the textures of time and stories. Showed it to my neighbour – a retired professional photographer for his comments and he immediate recognized the shop and told me what it used to be and that his cousin used to work there. Back in the 50s!
Its also a pace to go back to. Even though its a narrow street with hardly any sidewalk across the other side, it would good to set up and wait for the person(s) to walk into the scene. Or maybe a self portrait.
This is one of a series looking for and working these kind of ideas while I'm waiting for landscapes to be accessible again.

Ein tolles Shooting mit Nadine auf der hauseigenen Schafweide samt alter Zinkwanne und verrottetem Wasserbecken.
Eines der drei Bilder ist Teil meines STRKNG-Portfolios. Aufgenommen in einer ehemaligen Fabrik in Frankfurt, in der nun Kultureinrichtungen Platz gefunden haben. Die Bilder sind bei einem Shooting entstanden, in dem ich mit dem Model einige Stunden durch das Gebäude gelaufen bin. Das Shooting war tatsächlich "Fun in the Factory". Übrigens: eines der Bilder ist analog. Wer erkennt es?
Vor einer Weile hatte ich die Chance, das alte Kaufhaus Totschek in Görlitz ganz legal und offiziell zu besuchen und zu fotografieren. Das Kaufhaus steht sehr im Schatten des großen Warenhauses, steht diesem aber in Nichts nach. Im Gegenteil, es hat einen ganz eigenen Charme, abseits von Prunk und Protz. Genau deshalb diente es auch schon als Filmkulisse.
Das Kaufhaus ist zwar fast vollkommen leer geräumt, doch das hat in diesem Fall sein Gutes. Ist dadurch schließlich der Blick auf die Architektur unverstellt möglich. Besonders die vielen Treppen und Türen haben es mir angetan.
Ich kann nur empfehlen, sich die in Görlitz angebotenen Lost Places Touren einmal näher anzuschauen und auch daran teilzunehmen.
Imagine a place with extreme hot and humid weather, hardly any presence of fresh water and no hopes of development. Dhanushkodi is exactly that. It’s a place of tourist attraction and religious importance for many, but for the few fishermen families living here, it is tragic!
