Looking back on 2020, this was one of the most magic encounters. A wonderful person, a wonderful model: Maria from Berlin. She’s natural and authentic. No wonder, she’s featured in countless magazines. She understood the concept of movie stills perfectly.

Presenting a serie of Calendars for the 2021
Together with some models we thought of creating a series of calendars for 2021 that we all hope will be better than 2020.
Always attentive to respect for Mother Nature, we wanted to avoid waste of paper and minimize pollution due to the transport of the material to our headquarters: we therefore decided to collect reservations in order to optimize the entire production process.
If you are interested in buying one or more just let me know and mention you read about it on STRKNG so that I will make a special price to you, just get in touch trough my contact page:

Observation on The Saddest Girl on Earth
Writing here is a bit like diary-writing. It’s more reflexive than posting stuff in a blog, because you never know if anyone reads your thoughts. I’ll pour them out anyways:
There’s one image I made that really grew dear to me, but it just got one tiny single like. And I wonder why so. This photo is definitely not meant to be sexy or erotic, even if it is obviously revealing. I’ll tell you what I like about it.
I think the colors are really nice and create that beautiful contrast out of the strong red lingerie and the muted greenish-yellow background.
The scarce unadorned hotel room plays perfectly together with that sad skeptic but open look of the model. She’s posing in vulnerable way, but you can guess this woman is not a victim. The slight blur even adds to that.
And, then, the light in my opinion is beautiful. I used ambient light supported by a tiny hint of flash. So the body is drawn perfectly, just a few reflections on camera right.
What shall I say: I really like the picture.
(This is not meant to draw more likes to the image. I just wanted share my thoughts.)
The movie journey continues.
What differentiates a fashion image from a movie still? The aspect ration for sure (2.35 : 1). The harsh light, partial lighting and the (facial and body) expression of the model. I love the movie-ish look and I strive for recreating it in my images. Last weekend, I had the chance to try that with beautiful, lovely model Anna from Sweden (https://www.missannasworld.com/). By far, I’m not where I want to get at. But it’s a tiny step into a direction I like…
