In the interplay of shadow and light, the human body seeks connection with what cannot respond. The mannequin becomes both partner and mirror — a reflection of longing, intimacy, and the fragile boundaries between presence and absence.

Between reflection and shadow
Armonia scultorea
La figura femminile in una posa che unisce,Posa, Forza, e Delicatezza.Il corpo assume una forma quasi geometrica, con le gambe sollevate crea una punta che si staglia contro il nero profondo dello sfondo.
The female figure in a pose that combines Pose, Strength, and Delicacy. The body takes on an almost geometric shape, with the raised legs creating a point that stands out against the deep black of the background.

The Quiet Room
In this room, time has softened its voice.
The walls still whisper stories of bare honesty,
of moments suspended between breath and silence.
Here, light becomes touch.
Skin speaks without sound.
And stillness is not absence,
but presence—measured, tender, raw.
What remains is not what was done,
but what was felt.
Not the pose,
but the surrender.

Pastel body parts
Creating delicate body part photographs was more difficult than expected. Whether said body part is shot directly in the crop or the image is cropped in post-processing, it takes a certain eye to create the balance between too much and too little.
To get away from the monotonous black and white image, I decided to go for a pastel look. I think the delicate colors of light, almost pink skin and the light blue background go together perfectly. I also chose a round frame with occasional break-out elements so that the image section also matches what is shown, namely a human body, completely without sharp edges and hard corners.
I would like to leave it up to you to decide whether I have succeeded in this balancing act or not 🙂
Have you ever photographed body art and if so, how did you find the process?
