damn the dark, damn the light
Very often it happens to me (I say it happens to me even though I do it of my own choice because after all I think I did it without using my mind) that I’m very enthusiastic about doing things while I take pictures and I think it could be great and special pictures. But after taking these pictures, I often realize that it was just a waste of time and I will never show these pictures to anyone. In this case I wasted most of my time taking photos with a beautiful 10 meter long piece of fabric. I have taken hundreds of pictures of Irina playing, posing, covering and wrapping herself in this fabric.
But in the end it’s the pictures where she just sits naked on a chair in the dark that I like the most.
I would like to show you more than this one picture, but one of my worst qualities is not being able to make decisions. So I couldn’t decide which pictures to show you, except for this two pictures.

It was a stormy evening on the beach of Ahrenshoop (Germany, Mecklenburg-Vorpommmern, Darß, Baltic Sea).
Suse is addicted to the sea and wanted to play in the water. And I took the risk and put out my camera to take some unique pictures.
To make it short. The camera survived and we could take some very special memories. On the chipcard and in our hearts, too.

Nude for Nature – Aktfotografie für mehr Umweltschutz
Es geht um Nachhaltigkeit, Klimawandel, Naturschutz und damit um unsere Zukunft. Die Natur zeigt uns immer wieder, dass der Mensch nur Gast auf der Erde ist. Aber verhalten wir uns auch wie Gäste? Nicht immer, auf jeden Fall nicht rücksichtsvoll genug. Denn die Folgen der Umweltverschmutzung werden immer deutlicher. Sterbende Wälder, verschmutztes Wasser, aussterbende Tierarten und ein gefährlicher Klimawandel. Wenn sich nichts ändert, werden in 70 Jahren durch den Anstieg des Meeresspiegels etwa 200 Millionen Menschen ihre Heimat verlieren. Hitze wird weitere Teile der Welt unbewohnbar machen und Millionen Tiere sterben lassen.
Diese Umstände sind nicht immer in allen Köpfen präsent und werden viel zu oft ignoriert, zumindest vergessen. Aus diesem Grund möchte der AKTionskünstler Kristian Liebrand mit seinem Fotokunstprojekt "nude for nature" auf die Wichtigkeit einer intakten Umwelt aufmerksam machen und sensibilisieren.
Der Projektinitiator Kristian Liebrand arbeitet als Fotograf ohne Honorar und verschenkt seine Werke als klimaneutral gedruckten Bildband an alle, die sich durch eine Spende an ausgewählte Umweltschutzorganisationen engagieren, Bäume pflanzen lassen oder jetzt auf Ökostrom umstellen.
