Clothes make the man (Kleider machen Leute)
A TRANSFORMATION ON THE SPECTRUM OF GENDER
We live in a gender binary system, where you can't buy a single piece of clothing without first entering one of the two sections: "woman" or "man". Even when buying a white shirt or sneakers, an online shop will usually first force you to pick a gender.
Why don't we see the spectrum of gender more like different colors? Just like colors, the meaning of clothing changes over time and between cultures. Pink was considered a male color, roman warriors wore skirts to battle and in scotland kilts are still a thing.
But, in your present, in the culture you are living in, all those things feel like unchangable conventions which must not be changed.
Maybe clothing needs meaning, maybe without it something would be missing. Am I interested in wearing a dress EVEN THOUGH it is considered female or am attracted to it BECAUSE it is considered female?
Both is true.
We Are…
Three pictures that look like they tell a short story.
I am not sure what they want to tell me, though. Moving forward through life, maybe. Trying to be oneself and free while finding a path forward into a world that is not always easy. Not sure.

A small retro series. We decided to create a look reminiscent of the 2000s. Kodak Porta 400 was introduced in 1998, so it made sense to create a retro edit using this legendary film. This film was popular for its particularly warm, creamy look.
The edit was created using Luminar NEO and camera filters.

Danke Yao Tsy
