Mexicana
Mexicana is a project that I launched in 2014.
I photographed at least 8 women per month. The project aims to propose a content between documentary and erotic photography. There are explicit nudes but this is not the main goal.
Through the project I wanted to show the real Mexican woman, far from stereotypes and what is the model proposed by the media.
Mexicans are a mix of races, which means you meet people called "morenos" as well as whites. And also the aesthetics of the images points to naturalness and a realistic proposal, avoiding heavy post production. What you don’t expect when it comes to photography with models.
