Stephan Joachim and I had a make-up session. In the bath tub. Dark lip stick, milk bath, gloomy look, moody attitude, told stories, emotions… we got arty and creative and created something that combines art, make-up, film and deep atmosphere.

My ongoing project aims to offer a documentation about the social distancing, the use of masks and the diffidence of the other due to the Covid 19 pandemic, through a street photography approach. I am working in Mexico City downtown.
I consider that today street photography is the current photojournalism because unlike the latter it is still free from impositions that allow only the mainstream media to tell the world, censoring any critical thinking. Using the keys of irony and sarcasm, of a lateral vision that Street Photography brings with it, we have the opportunity to be the real witnesses of the social situation we are all experiencing.
I want that anyone looking at my pictures make your own opinion. I don’t want to suggest anything and I leave everything away from my personal judgment. Reality as it is already absurd enough.
From a technical point of view I am working as I am used to do: using zone focusing technique and currently I use a manual lens, the 7Artisans 25mm f1.8 mounted on my XPro2. Sometimes I use the Fujifilm XF 18mm f2.

I worked with Model Katy Mahon and Make Up Artist Sam Freezy to create this bedazzled photo shoot inspired by the work of @kimberleymargarita_ on Instagram.
This is a lighting setup that I really love, but it is complex with 6+ light sources to set up, inspired by the work of Jill Greenberg. The key light is a ring flash and I have a beauty dish directly above the model. A single gridded light is creating a spot on the background, rather than lighting the entire backdrop. I think I may have skipped the backlights/rim lights for these shots, so I guess I was cheating on the number of light sources.
I like to shoot film whenever I shoot, alongside the digital shots. I used a Mamiya RB67 and Fuji FP-100C Pack Film to create the instant shots. I wish the polaroid back for the camera created images that were centered, but it’s always a treat toe see the juicy bokeh on the 150MM Soft Focus Lens I pair with the camera.
All my images published in 2020 in International Magazines: 254 pages, more than 200 images, 20 models.

Ich habe eine neue (alte) analoge Kamera: Eine Nikon FM2. Ich war von dem analogen Look, den man bei STRKNG und Instagram sehen kann so begeistert, dass ich auch analog fotografieren wollte.
Erster Film Ilford XP2 und hier ein Eindruck.
I’ve barely shot anything for months, but considering I’d process someone else’s set with a semi-transparent image prompted me to do this, this afternoon.
