Zwei bis drei Mal im Jahr versuche ich an einem Fotowalk teilzunehmen. Nicht unbedingt immer, um Bilder zu machen, aber zumindest um Leute kennenzulernen. Beim Walk durch die Altstadt vom schönen Leer in Ostfriesland Anfang diesen Jahres kamen dann (tatsächlich recht spontan) diese Bilder zustande.

what happens when the planned outdoor-fashion-shooting with the designers couldn‘t take place because of rain, you start to take drinks with the model and suddenly get a shooting-permission for the local bar…

There’s a line in one of Haruki Murakami’s novels where the sky grows darker, one stroke at a time, into deeper shades of night. Whilst wandering the streets in the night air, I connect to it all – the night pulse, from the stars, city lights to other souls who inhabit the city after dark. The shades of night are like entire universes to me.
