It was Warsaw based Chris Niedenthal, who – working for Newsweek and TIME magazine – covered all the exciting political and social events in Eastern Europe, especially in Poland, during the 1980s. His photos of this time are of unique historical value.
Chris is a great story teller and Jens Pepper from Obst und Muse was lucky to be able to talk with him about his work and life. This interview is one of the longer ones on the blog. It is the English original version which got published online. The German translation you may find in the book "Gespräche über polnische Fotografie", which got published a few months ago at KLAK Verlag, Berlin.
