I want emotional pictures, that was Stella's wish when we met for the first time. Sadness, actually. But I think it is also often a deep longing that many of us carry inside.
Stella was authentic. I liked our work together and it was a process that enriched me. We photographed in her small flat and a familiarity quickly developed in which such pictures become possible.
